Woman To Face Court Over Warrants – Marrickville

Police from the Marrickville Local Area Command have charged a woman over twenty-four first instance warrants.

About 9.30 pm yesterday, Police were called to a home in Grove Street, Marrickville, following reports of a domestic dispute. While on their way to the premises, police conducted checks on the parties involved and revealed the 37-year-old woman was wanted for alleged welfare fraud.

The woman was arrested at her home and taken to Newtown Police Station where she was charged with 24 outstanding warrants for making false documents to obtain benefits.

The woman was refused bail and will appear in Newtown Local Court today.
