Police Seek Public Assistance Following Carjacking – Wiley Park

Police are seeking public assistance after a woman’s car was stolen in a carjacking incident in Sydney’s south west last night.

About 9.45pm yesterday (Monday 7 December), a 30-year-old Punchbowl woman parked her red BMW 335i at a service station on King Georges Road, Wiley Park.

A short time later, the woman was returning to her car when an unknown male approached her, pushed her to the ground and stole the cars keys.

The male stole the car and it was last seen heading north on King Georges Road at Wiley Park.

The victim struck her head on the ground during the incident and was taken by ambulance to Canterbury Hospital with minor injuries.

Police from Campsie Local Area Command attended the scene and conducted inquiries.

A description of the car, with NSW registration NXR-84N, was broadcast via Police radio; however, it has not yet been recovered.

Investigators are now seeking public assistance as they continue their inquiries.

The offender was described as male, wearing a blue hooded jacket.
