Umbilical Cord Blood Benefits And Potential From Research

Umbilical Cord Blood Benefits And Potential From Research

Unlocking The Door To Many Cures For Illnesses May Lie In The Umbilical Cord

Victor P Taffa

Blood contained in an Umbilical Cord has the potential to finding a cure for many illnesses.

Finding a cure for Cancer, Diabetes, HIV, Motor Neurone Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease or even Mental Health could lie in blood from the Umbilical Cord.

Currently it would seem that no one is even trying to find out about the benefits of Umbilical Cord Blood as many have said “We hadn’t even thought of that” to Editor Victor P Taffa.

With respect to Mental Health a doctor at Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital said to Editor Victor P Taffa in 2007 that “It is very difficult to research a patient’s brain while they are alive.”

Doctors only know about 4% of a Brains Capacity and as such medication for Mental Health is so poor.

Currently doctors in every maternity Hospital just throws away the Umbilical Cord.

Potentially cures for many illnesses are also being thrown away.

Another Doctor replying on behalf of Minister Brad Hazzard discussed about a ‘directed donation’ with regards to cord blood being tested.

However, currently almost every Umbilical Cord is thrown away and it is hard to believe that a mother would want to keep once leaving hospital. Mothers would have to refrigerate the Umbilical Cord and the mother of a new born baby would have a lot of other matters to consider once leaving hospital with 1, 2, 3 or even 4 babies.

With all due respect to the good Doctor, it would seem that currently Doctors are throwing away the potential in finding cures for many illnesses and no one is even trying to find out.

Blood in an Umbilical Cord must different qualities to blood in the body as the Umbilical Cord connects Mother and Baby for 9 Months and pumps life into a Baby until time of birth.

Blood in an Umbilical Cord is of a thicker, richer quality and research from every Umbilical Cord could solve more illnesses than just Diabetes.

As every human being is different, every Umbilical Cord is different and blood in each Umbilical Cord is different.

Further to this if a cure is found for Cancer then a cure will also be found for HIV as both illnesses attacks the Blood Cells.

This plan has been put in writing to Federal Minister for Health Greg Hunt and all States and Territory Ministers for Health.

Replies have come from Northern Territory Minister for Health Natasha Fyles and New South Wales Minister for Health and Medical Research Brad Hazzard.

Costs Involved

Cost of this plan is very cost effective and can lead to advances in Medical Research and cures for many illnesses.

Cost to retain and pick up Umbilical Cords maybe similar to costs involved when Blood Samples are picked up for research.

Possibly the same companies who picks up Blood Samples could also pick up Umbilical Cords for research.

Given that blood outside of the body dies fairly quickly this is not something where Umbilical Cords could be retained for very long and certainly not without refrigeration.

Retaining Umbilical Cords for Medical Research should not be kept any longer than absolutely necessary.

For Privacy and Medical Research reasons there is no need to have a Mothers name associated with an Umbilical Cord when it is being used for research.

When a Population Census is conducted every 5 years, we do not have names linked to how every form has been filled out.

Given that Medical Research is so expensive perhaps many answers that Doctors have been seeking for cures on illnesses are contained from blood in the Umbilical Cord.

Not only could this lead to a cure for many illnesses in Australia but also around the world lead by Australia.

Background

Benefits of Blood in an Umbilical Cord is a matter of personal interest to Editor Victor P Taffa.

One month before Editor Victor P Taffa was born his Uncle collapsed and died of a massive Heart Attack aged 44 years.

One month and one day later Editor Victor P Taffa was born. Editor Victor P Taffa was named after his late uncle.

Editor Victor P Taffa’s mother suffered ‘Nervous Shock’ upon hearing of his uncle sudden and unexpected death.

His family had food laid out for a Family Party which then turned into a Family Wake.

When Editor Victor P Taffa started to study the Solicitor’ s Admission Board course he learned about Nervous Shock.

Nervous Shock has been used as a legal defence when a sudden incident has affected the unborn in the womb. So, what Mum suffered was Nervous Shock.

Over many years Psychiatric Doctors and Nurses have asked Victor if anyone else suffers from Mental Illness in the Family. No one else suffers from Mental Illness in Victor’s Family.

No one Umbilical Cord would be the same as every Human Being is different.

This is why Medical Research is so expensive and takes so long to see results.

Every person is different and reacts differently to the same medication.
