Giving tourists a great Tasmanian experience is a key element of our plan to ensure they stay here longer, see more of our State’s regions, and spend more while they are here.

Development of Tasmania’s first Visitor Experience Centre in Triabunna will change the way we approach and develop visitor centres across Tasmania into the future, Premier Will Hodgman said.

Tasmanian Government is investing $375,000, which is matched by the Glamorgan Spring bay Council, to deliver the new $750,000 facility.

Triabunna Visitor Experience Centre will be the destination hub that introduces visitors to the unique experiences offered on the East Coast, including the Great Eastern Drive, Maria Island, and Freycinet National Park.

East Coast is a destination hotspot, recording a 10 % growth in visitors in the last year.

“Triabunna’s new Visitor Experience Centre will build upon Tasmania’s reputation as a first-class tourist destination and help continue the tourism boom which supports so many local businesses and jobs across the State.” Premier Hodgman said.
