Police Investigate Armed Robbery On Fast Food Outlet – Milperra

Police in Sydney’s South-West are conducting inquiries into an armed robbery at a Milperra fast food restaurant overnight.

Two men, possibly of Pacific Islander appearance, used a tomahawk to smash a window and gain access to the outlet on Henry Lawson Drive just after 10 pm.

The armed men forced the employees, who’d been counting the day’s takings, into a cool room before stealing cash from the registers and safe and fleeing the scene.

The staff members managed to free themselves a short time later and contact Police.

Officers from Bankstown Local Area Command and the Forensic Armed Robbery Unit attended the scene and conducted inquiries.

Investigating officers are now appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or any suspicious activity in the vicinity of the restaurant around 10 pm is urged to contact Bankstown Police Station via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
