The disastrous forestry deal is hurting all sectors of the Tasmanian economy and community.

TFGA CEO Jan Davis, has confirmed that $2 Billion has been wiped off the value of farms in Tasmania since the so called ‘peace process’ began two years ago, Shadow Minister for Forestry Peter Gutwein said.

“The chaos in our forestry industry is already driving businesses to the brink, costing jobs and forcing Tasmanians to head interstate just to find a job.”

“The forestry industry is one of the pillars of our economy. If you hurt forestry, you hurt the rest of the economy. The Premier has not only sold out to the Greens, she has sold out Tasmania, just so she can cling to power.” Mr. Gutwein said.

“A majority Liberal Government will grow the forestry industry, not shut it down. We will provide the stability and leadership that will enable the Tasmanian economy to become strong again.” Mr. Gutwein said.
