Victoria Minister for Public Transport Terry Mulder

Free Ride On Public Transport This Christmas

Victor P Taffa

Train, tram, coach and bus services across Victoria will be free from first to last service on Christmas Day, Tuesday 25 December, Minister for Public Transport Terry Mulder said today.

“Public transport is the safe and easy way to visit family and friends for Christmas celebrations.” Mr. Mulder said.

“This is an opportunity to get out of the car and onto public transport. Whether travelling to see family close by or heading out into regional Victoria, public transport is an easy way to get around where no-one has to take the responsibility of driving. I encourage all Victorians to take advantage of the free travel.”

The Public Transport Victoria call centre is open from 6 am to midnight daily to help with travel enquiries. For train, tram and bus information visit ptv.vic.gov.au or call 1800 800 007.
