Tasmania Opposition Leader Will Hodgman
BARTLETT’S JOBS LEGACY
Victor P Taffa
Tasmania Opposition Leader Will Hodgman has criticised the Bartlett Government in light of unemployment figures released today.
Figures show that since David Bartlett became Premier, 3,600 jobs have disappeared.
This is according to Will Hodgman “David Bartlett’s jobs legacy.”
While the national unemployment rate continues to improve, Tasmania’s remains stagnant. Despite all the promises, all the spin and all the photo opportunities, David Bartlett simply hasn’t got it right. Far from being in an economic renaissance, Tasmania is at the crossroads.
Four more years of the same Labor incompetence and mismanagement will see us well and truly go backwards. We can’t afford Labor’s reckless promises, which total nearly $600 Million.
Labor’s dithering on the direction for Industry in Tasmania is endemic of a tired worn out Government. “We can’t afford to sit back and think that this is as good as it gets. It’s not, and under a Hodgman Liberal Government Tasmanians will see a real change.” Mr Hodgman said.
A Hodgman Liberal Government will reduce the cost of living, stimulate the economy by cutting Land Tax, cut Labor’s wasteful spending in areas like spin doctors and glossy advertising, fix our education and health systems and bring integrity back to government after 12 years of scandal and incompetence.
“Tasmanians have a choice on the 20th of March. They can either choose four more years of tired, stale, out-of-ideas Labor or the real change that only a Hodgman Liberal Government can deliver.” Mr. Hodgman said
