Tasmania Cut Adrift By Gillard And Giddings

Victor P Taffa

Tasmania has been cut adrift by the Federal and State Labor Governments in tonight’s budget, according to Opposition Leader Will Hodgman.

“Premier Giddings should be embarrassed by the fact that Tasmania has gotten nothing out of this budget other than a $440 Million slap in the face with a cut to the GST.”

“For all David O’Byrne’s big-talking, our exporters have been left high and dry with no additional support beyond the $20 Million band-aid already announced.” Mr. Hodgman said.

“This catastrophic outcome is the direct result of a government more focused on itself than the interests of Tasmania.” Mr. Hodgman said.
