Shop Local For Christmas, Help Regional Communities

Residents of regional communities should support local businesses by shopping in their local towns for Christmas, according to Deputy Leader of the Nationals in the Senate, Fiona Nash.

“If we want sustainable local businesses in our regional communities, we have to be prepared to support them.”

“At a time when small business in regional Australia is doing it tough, the holiday season is a make or break period for many small businesses.” Senator Nash said.

“So don’t go out of town, support your local businesses. Don’t assume you need to go to a city, our wonderful regional communities by and large have everything we need.”

“Buying Australian is good for the economy, but buying local could mean a job for your neighbour, and a future for our local small businesses.” Senator Nash said.
