Man Hospitalised After Stabbing Incident – Waterloo
Police are seeking public assistance as they investigate the stabbing of a man at Waterloo, in inner-Sydney.
A 32-year-old man was standing on Elizabeth Street just before 7.30 pm yesterday (Thursday 4 February), when he became involved in an altercation with another man, who allegedly threatened to stab him.
The alleged offender then left the scene before returning a short time later armed with a knife and in the presence of four unknown males.
Fearing for his safety, the man attempted to run away from the group but was stabbed once to his lower back.
The group then fled the scene.
The victim was taken by NSW Ambulance Paramedics to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for treatment, while Police from Redfern Local Area Command conducted inquiries at the scene.
It is believed the incident was domestic-related.
Police are now appealing for public help as they continue their investigation.
