Premier Ted Baillieu has welcomed confirmation today of the communities Prince William will visit while in Victoria’s North-West next Monday, 21 March.
Prince William will attend a briefing and inspect areas still under water near Kerang in the North-West before visiting a rural property in the area and attending a community barbeque in Murrabit.
“The Coalition Government is working with these local communities to make sure that as many people as possible have the opportunity to come together for this important occasion.” Premier Baillieu said.
“The Prince will meet Victorians affected by the floods and those who helped people who have built strong bonds in the midst of calamity.”
“He will hear many stories and will experience the amazing strength of spirit shown by Victorians in flood-affected communities.” Premier Baillieu said.
“Victoria’s devastating floods have reminded us all that our communities and people are strong and resilient in the face of adversity, and I thank the Prince for his generosity in visiting these communities to offer comfort and support.”
“While the Prince will only be able to meet some of the many Victorians affected by these floods, his visit will help all Victorians who have been devastated by the floods.” Premier Baillieu said.
