Opposition Appeals For Help To Locate Justin Madden

Planning Minister Justin Madden who once revelled in his high profile has gone missing, refusing to appear in front of media, interest groups or his own constituents.
Shadow Planning Minister Matthew Guy today urged the elusive Planning Minister to come out of hiding, after the Labor Party declined the third public planning debate invitation to Mr. Madden.
“A Stateline debate was rejected, then came the refusal to appear on ABC radio and now the Planning Minister is refusing to front a local planning debate in Essendon, in front of the very the lower house constituency he is trying to win.” Shadow Planning Minister Matthew Guy said.
“If anyone knows the whereabouts of Victoria’s missing in action Planning Minister, could they please contact him and advise him to accept a debate on matters within the portfolio he has held for the last four years.”
“Justin Madden is happy to be vocal and confrontational in Parliament on Planning Issues, so it beggars belief that he is willingly running away from debate after debate.”
“He is either worried that his Policy Grasp is limited or he’s been gagged.” Mr. Guy said.
“If Premier John Brumby is not worried about the likely performance of his Planning Minister then he should encourage him to accept the Opposition’s offer for a debate at any time, any location and on any date before the State Election.”
“Planning matters are very serious and go to the heart of the future liveability of Victoria so the Planning Minister must accept the Opposition’s offer for an open and public debate.”
“I’d urge Justin Madden to end this nonsense and accept my invitation to a Planning Portfolio Debate.” Mr. Guy said.
