Liberal Shadow Cabinet: Strong, Hard-Working, Dynamic Team For SA

Victor P Taffa

Liberal Leader Isobel Redmond has today announced her revised Shadow Cabinet, revealing a strong, hard-working and dynamic team that will work for South Australians and provide them with a viable alternative government at the March 2014 election.

The new team consists of 15 Shadow Ministers and 4 Parliamentary Secretaries.

There are two new Shadow Ministers, Peter Treloar and Steven Griffiths and three new Parliamentary Secretaries, Terry Stephens, Tim Whetstone and John Dawkins.

“South Australians are struggling under the Weatherill Labor Government with the highest taxes in the nation, the highest electricity prices in the world and the highest capital city water prices in the nation.” Ms. Redmond said.

“My new team is strong, hard-working and committed to holding this Government to account on behalf of South Australians.”

“This team represents a blend of experience and youth and draws on a range of backgrounds.”

“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Martin Hamilton-Smith and Mark Goldsworthy for their significant contributions to Shadow Cabinet.” Ms. Redmond said.

“Already we have announced a number of policies and policy directions such as marine parks, suicide prevention, an Independent Audit Commission, local school management, medical cooling concessions and incentives to drive residential and commercial development in the Adelaide CBD.”

“We will continue to release policies in the lead up to the election and every member of the team will have an important role to play in that process.”

“We are ready and committed to providing South Australians with a viable, alternative government.” Ms. Redmond said.
