Leader of the Queensland Opposition and Liberal National Party Leader John-Paul Langbroek today reminded the flood-affected communities in New South Wales, they were in Queenslanders’ thoughts.
As Queensland works to rebuild three quarters of the State devastated by floods, John-Paul Langbroek empathised with home and business owners affect by the floods in the southern states.
“The New South Wales Government gave generously to our State throughout the flooding crisis donating valuable Australian Defence Personnel, Police and Emergency Service Workers.”
“Premier Keneally also charitably contributed $1 Million to the Premier’s Flood Relief Appeal. I wholeheartedly thank her and her Government.” Mr. Langbroek said.
“I have seen firsthand the damage these floods have caused and I would like the flood affected residents of New South Wales to know Queenslanders are standing beside them to help through this very tough time and pick them back up again.”
“The flood waters seem not to have discriminated against any regions of the east coast.”
“A thick layer of mud covers parts of eastern Australia but our strong sense of spirit and togetherness spreads right across the country.” Mr. Langbroek said.
