Critical Incident – Lisarow

A critical incident investigation team has been formed to examine the circumstances surrounding a shooting incident near Gosford on the State’s Central Coast today.

About 4.30pm today (Friday 25 December), Police were called to The Rise at Lisarow following reports of a neighbourhood dispute.

Officers were confronted by a man believed aged in his 40’s, who was allegedly armed with a knife and behaving in a threatening manner.

A number of shots were fired by Police, wounding the man.

He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Gosford Hospital where he later died.

A crime scene has been established and specialist officers are in attendance.

A critical incident investigation team comprising officers from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad has been formed to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
