“Nothing is more important than giving young Western Australians a quality education, and families in Landsdale, Mandurah and West Swan will benefit from this fully funded commitment.”

Schools are fully funded, and a total of $70.49 Million will be included for the projects in the Mid-year Review so construction can get underway next year.

Three schools are in addition to the $60 Million Piara Waters Secondary College in Perth’s south also opening in 2023.

Premier Mark McGowan and Minister for Education and Training Sue Ellery were in Landsdale today where a new primary school will be built to cater to local families in the rapidly growing area.

“We want every child in Western Australia to have the best possible opportunities to learn.” Minister for Education and Training Sue Ellery said.

“I’m thrilled we can offer parents in some of Perth’s fast-growing areas with modern new learning environments for their children.”

$22.38 Million Landsdale South Primary School (planning name) will cater for 540 students and will relieve growing enrolment pressure at nearby Carnaby Rise Primary School, Landsdale Primary School and Ashdale Primary School.

$25.77 Million Madora Bay Primary School (planning name) in Mandurah and $22.34 Million West Swan (Dayton) Primary School (planning name) will also be built for the 2023 school year, accommodating for the growing number of families in these popular areas and relieving enrolment pressure on nearby schools.

All three primary schools will include general classrooms, an early childhood education block, library, covered assembly area with music, art room, administration and staff facilities, parking for staff and parents, and an oval.

Construction on the schools is expected to start in December 2021 and will support 252 jobs.
