Further Development Opportunities As More Sites Offered At Perry Lakes

Victor P Taffa

Planning Minister John Day today announced an opportunity for builders and developers to be part of the success of the Perry Lakes development at Floreat.

Mr. Day said the State Government, through LandCorp, had called Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the sale of 27 lots which offered a diversity of multiple dwelling possibilities at the historic former 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games site.

“The lots on offer will allow the development of up to 180 residences.” Mr. Day said.

“A number of the lots available in the EOI embrace an expanding demographic by providing for over 55s through dwellings with specific design requirements.”

“The development embraces the site’s history while delivering an abundance of open space and a strong connection to the adjacent Perry Lakes Reserve.”

In line with Directions 2031, Perry Lakes is delivering terraced, duplex, apartment and traditional home sites, enabling a range of housing options to suit a broad market.

The Minister said the site had been transformed into a sought-after residential estate with the State Government’s significant investment.

“Potential developers and builders have until 2 pm Thursday, August 18 to submit EOIs to purchase lots.” Mr. Day said.

“Once all submissions are evaluated, a shortlist of proponents will be invited to submit more detailed supporting documentation.”

EOIs may be lodged on a single parcel of land, or any combination of lots.
