Firearms Dealer Charged With 101 Offences – Strike Force Raptor
Strike Force Raptor officers have charged a man following on-going pro-active investigations into alleged firearm-related offences.
Strike Force Raptor officers yesterday issued a 63-year-old man with a Future Service Court Attendance Notice in relation to 101 offences.
The offences include:
- Licensed firearms dealer fail to make quarterly return (x3)
- Firearm dealer fail to record prescribed details regarding receipt (x95)
- Larceny (x2)
- Alter or make false/misleading entry in record (x1)
The man will appear at Moss Vale Local Court on 1 February 2010.
The arrest follows further investigations which have resulted after a 45-year-old man (a member of the Fourth Reich OMCG) was arrested at Sutton Forest on 28 October. He was charged in relation to multiple firearm and drug-related offences.
During the search, officers located seized 25 firearms along with weapons including detonators, a hand grenade and an anti-tank mine as well as a quantity of cannabis.
Strike Force Raptor was established by the State Crime Command’s Gangs Squad and is a proactive and high-impact operation targeting outlaw motorcycle gangs and their associated criminal enterprises.
