Police Investigate Motorcycle Death – Orange

Police from Canobolas Local Area Command have commenced investigations into the death of a motorcycle rider at Orange yesterday.

Shortly after 1.35pm on Tuesday (7 December) a 42-year-old man was riding his Suzuki GSX 1100 motorcycle south along William Maker Drive.

About 400 metres from the intersection with Northern Distributor Road the rider appears to have lost control of the machine and slid towards the shoulder of the road, jumping over a culvert ditch and landing in a paddock.

Emergency services attended the location and paramedics attempted unsuccessfully to resuscitate the man as he was transported to Orange Base Hospital.
