Two Teenagers Stabbed During Altercation – Warilla

Two teenagers have undergone treatment in hospital overnight after being stabbed at Warilla, South of Wollongong.

About 11 pm yesterday (Friday 5 February), the pair was drinking with friends at a Fleetwood Crescent residence when two unknown males began calling out to them from the front yard.

A short time later, a physical altercation occurred and the 16-year-old Albion Park boy and 17-year-old Warilla boy both sustained stab wounds to their backs.

The offenders then fled the area.

Detectives from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command attended the scene and conducted inquiries.

The teenagers were taken to Wollongong Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Investigating officers are now attempting to identify the offenders and anyone with information that might assist their inquiries is urged to contact Lake Illawarra Police via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
