A new $1.5 Million library at North Morley Primary School will become the hub for learning at the school, with the latest technology and flexible spaces designed for collaboration.

“This fantastic new library will give students the opportunity to be curious learners with modern technologies at their fingertips.” Minister for Education and Training Sue Ellery said.

“It will equip them to build the skills, knowledge and confidence they need for the next step into secondary school.”

New facility, officially opened today, was a McGowan Government election commitment and delivered 2 months ahead of schedule.

It will provide an inspiring environment for students to come together to read, work, research and collaborate with their peers in flexible and creative learning areas.

Staff will also be able to make use of the modern technologies for professional learning and development.

New facilities will help the school continue its path of success and growth as it becomes an Independent Public School in 2019.

“Having a new, exciting space, fitted with the latest innovative technology, will be of huge benefit to students and staff.” Morley MLA Amber-Jade Sanderson said.

“This was an important election commitment to ensure local kids had modern and vibrant facilities that inspire them to learn.”

North Morley Primary School has families from many different ethnic and cultural groups, with students speaking more than 30 different languages.
