Grand Final for the 134-year-old league will be played at Optus Stadium on Sunday September 23, 2018, after 82 consecutive WAFL grand finals at Subiaco Oval.
“There’s never been a more important time to get out and support the WAFL. This is also the first opportunity for the general public to take the kids onto the ground for some kick-to-kick.” Minister for Sport and Recreation Mick Murray said.
“After 82 straight grand finals at Subiaco Oval, it will be a momentous occasion to welcome the WAFL to Optus Stadium for the first time.”
Match presents the first opportunity for fans to take part in a free, public kick-to-kick session on the Optus Stadium surface at the end of the match.
Families are encouraged to make a day of it by visiting the Stadium Parklands’ nature playgrounds and open playing and picnic space, with the event also set to offer special activities and attractions.
Tickets to the WAFL Grand Final go on sale on September 4, 2018 at $20 for an adult and $15 for concession card holders. Children under 16 can enter the match free with a pre-purchased adult ticket.
