Newport Lakes Primary School Unveils New Facilities

Newport Lakes Primary School students will benefit from brand new facilities and classrooms to learn in, thanks to the Andrews Government.

Minister for Education James Merlino today visited Newport Lakes Primary School to officially open the $3.04 Million upgrade.

“I am exceptionally proud to officially open Newport Lakes Primary School’s new facilities and classrooms. The upgrade will empower students at the school to thrive and excel in modern facilities and give them a greater chance to succeed.” Minister for Education James Merlino said.

“Across Victoria, we are building and upgrading schools so our students have the best facilities, our classrooms have the best teachers and every child is given every chance to succeed.”

New facilities include:

  • 4 new classrooms,
  • Music and multi-purpose hall,
  • Student toilets,
  • Teaching and learning spaces.

“Newport Lakes Primary School is a great school filled with enthusiastic students keen to learn and be the best they can be and these new facilities will open even more opportunities for them.” Member for Williamstown Melissa Horne said.

New classrooms provide modern learning spaces and the multi-purpose hall offers a dedicated music learning space and gym, offering greater opportunity for the students to develop new skills.

Andrews Government has invested $5.6 Billion to deliver more than 1,400 school upgrades, supporting over 7,500 construction jobs for Victorians.
