Australian Bureau of Statistics labour force data release for April shows there are now nearly 13,000 more Tasmanians in work than when the Hodgman Government came to office, Treasurer Peter Gutwein said.

Importantly, today’s data shows that 200 more Tasmanians found work compared to March which is a positive boost for the State.

These figures demonstrate that the Hodgman Government’s economic leadership is working for Tasmanians.

“We know there is more to do, that’s why the Hodgman Government is focused on delivering our commitments.” Treasurer Peter Gutwein said.

Hodgman Government delivering on its commitments includes:

  • Maintaining Tasmania’s economic momentum,
  • Record $2.6 Billion in infrastructure and investment for education and health,
  • Stimulating even more jobs and investment.
