John-Paul Langbroek Asks Queenslanders To Give To Flood Relief Appeal
Victor P Taffa
Opposition Leader John-Paul Langbroek will be taking part in Tonight’s Flood Relief Appeal Telethon, jointly organised by The Courier-Mail and the Nine Network, and is asking Queenslanders to give generously.
“After visiting the communities of Chinchilla, Warwick, Cecil Plains, Dalby, Bundaberg, Emerald and St. George, I have seen firsthand the absolute devastation this flood has caused.” Mr. Langbroek said.
“And I know this week when I visit the Rockhampton area, the scale of devastation to families, homes and businesses caused by the flood will highlight why all Queenslanders must unite and give generously to the Relief Appeal.”
“While these areas have been directly hit by the floods, we must remember that this affects every corner of our state and every single Queenslander.” Mr. Langbroek said.
“I have been told heart wrenching stories by too many families who now are panicking about how they can afford to get through each day.”
“Money is desperately needed to help get these families and our great Queensland towns back on their feet.”
“I will be volunteering in the call centre this evening and ask for any donation, big or small. It will help make a difference to rebuilding Queensland.” Mr. Langbroek said.
