Man Stabbed After Disturbing Intruder – Mount Warrigal

A man has suffered a small stab wound to his arm after disturbing an intruder inside his South Coast home last night.

About 8.30pm, the 49-year-old man and his 15-year-old son returned to their house on Chapman Street at Mount Warrigal, to find a man rummaging through a kitchen cupboard.

The intruder attacked the older man, stabbing him in the upper left arm with a short bladed knife, before running from the scene.

The victim contacted Police and was treated for a superficial 2cm wound.

Police examined the scene and are appealing the public’s help to locate the intruder.

The man is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, aged in his late 30s, approximately 178cm tall, with short dark curly hair and wearing black joggers, black pants and black t-shirt.
