The 2012-2013 redivision of State electoral boundaries made the following changes to the boundaries of Monbulk District.

Monbulk Lost:

11,256 electors to Bayswater District (Kilsyth South and The Basin. Part of Boronia)

6 electors to Rowville District (Part of Lysterfield)

Monbulk Gained:

5,461 electors from Gembrook District (Belgrave Heights, Belgrave South and Narre Warren East. Parts of Belgrave, Lysterfield and Selby)

9,198 electors from Kilsyth District (Parts of Kilsyth, Lilydale and Montrose)

Election Results:

Two-party preferred vote, 2010 State election:

ALP:               17,684             51.88%

Liberal:            16,404             48.12%
