Victor P Taffa

Small business information, support and mentoring will soon be coming to Bendigo as the Victorian Coalition Government’s Mobile Business Centre continues its state wide tour.

Minister for Innovation, Services, and Small Business Louise Asher said the Mobile Business Centre has made more than 30 visits across the state so far this year, and more than 550 business mentoring sessions have been delivered to Victorian small businesses.

More than 130 small business workshops have been held across the state as well so far this year, providing business owners and those considering a small business idea with advice and strategies at a low cost.

In Bendigo today, Ms. Asher encouraged all businesses in the area to make the most of the upcoming visit on Thursday 21 June.

“The Mobile Business Centre is designed to help people plan, start and grow their business. Small business operators can access business tools, tips and with the on-board mentoring service a fresh pair of eyes to look at a business objectively.” Ms. Asher said.

“Last year the Mobile Business Centre provided more than 750 mentoring sessions to small businesses.”

“The Mobile Business Centre will give small businesses in Bendigo access to valuable information about programs and services, including the latest schedule of business skills workshops.”

“Small business operators are often too busy to seek information or guidance. By having the Mobile Business Centre in Bendigo, they won’t have to travel far to access business mentors.”

The Mobile Business Centre will be located at Hargreaves Mall, Hargreaves Street, Bendigo, on Thursday 21 June 2012 from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.
