A man is facing court today after the shooting of another man in Sydney’s South-West earlier this week.

Police will allege about 10.15 am on 19 January, two males were involved in a confrontation in Townson Park opposite a service station on Ben Lomond Road, Minto.

During the incident a small calibre firearm was produced. One of the males sustained a gunshot wound to the upper-leg.

Yesterday Macquarie Fields Detectives arrested a 25-year-old Minto man in relation to the shooting.

He was subsequently charged at Macquarie Fields Police Station with discharging a firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and possessing ammunition.
