Personal Statement From Minister Mark McArdle

“As from 25 July I will be taking six weeks medical leave from my role as Minister for Energy and Water Supply.” Minister for Energy and Water Supply Mark McArdle said.

“Earlier this year I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. I now need to undergo medical treatment and I have been assured I will make a full recovery.”

“My wife Judy and I are very pleased with the treatment plan and the care I have received to date.” Mr. McArdle said.

“I am grateful that my Ministerial colleague Andrew Cripps has graciously agreed to take on my Ministerial duties, until I return in early September.”


“I am extremely thankful for the support from all of my colleagues during the past few months and I look forward to continuing the reform work in my portfolio upon my return.” Mr. McArdle said.
