Police Appeal For Witness To Come Forward To Glassing – Manly

Police are appealing for a potential witness to come forward following a glassing on Sydney’s Northern Beaches last weekend.

About 12.15am on Saturday 19 December an 18-year-old Balgowlah man became involved in an altercation with another man at a licensed premise on South Steyne at Manly.

As a result the 18-year-old was struck to the face with a glass by the man who then left the premises.

The victim suffered cuts to his nose, lip and mouth requiring surgery.

Police have released an image of a man who they believe may be a potential witness to the assault.

The man is described as being of South American appearance, aged between 25 and 28, with a fit build, around 185 cm tall with dark ear length hair. At the time of the incident he was wearing a white shirt sleeve T Shirt with a distinct ‘3 stooges’ character motif on the front, jeans and black shoes with white soles.

Anyone with information about the incident or who can assist police with their inquiries is urged to contact Manly detectives via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
