Police Seek Public Assistance Following Alleged Armed Robbery – Burwood
Police are appealing for public assistance following an alleged armed robbery of a financial institution in Sydney’s west earlier this month.
About 2.10pm (Monday, 2 November), a man entered a financial institution on Burwood Road, Burwood and pulled a balaclava over his face and produced a firearm.
The man walked behind the counter before assaulting two female staff members and running from the scene.
Nobody was injured during the incident and police believe no money was taken.
The man is described as Pacific Islander in appearance, large build and about 180cm tall. He was wearing a dark coloured baseball cap, black track pants with a stripe and a dark tracksuit top with red sleeves.
Detectives from Burwood wish to interview a person who may be able to assist with inquiries into the incident and have released CCTV images of the person who they would like to interview in relation to these matters.
