Police Raid House, Seize Firearms, Drugs, Ammunition And Motorcycles – Eaglevale

A man will re-appear at court on firearms charges after Police raided a house at Eaglevale in Sydney’s South-West yesterday.

About 9 am, detectives from Campbelltown Local Area Command conducted a search warrant at a home on Sapphire Place, Eaglevale.

Police will allege during the search they located and seized:

  • A shortened double barrel shotgun,
  • A .22 calibre rifle,
  • Two crossbows,
  • An amount of ammunition,
  • Cannabis,
  • Two stolen Harley Davidson motorcycles.

A 57-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he was charged with:

  • Two counts of possess prohibited weapon,
  • Two counts of possess prohibited drug,
  • Two counts of receiving,
  • Possess shortened firearm,
  • Possess unlicensed firearm.

He was refused bail and appeared at Campbelltown Court yesterday where he was granted conditional bail, however those bail conditions were unable to be met and he remains in custody. The matter has been put over for mention on February 3.
