Appeal For Information Following Two Armed Robberies – Cabarita and Drummoyne

Police have renewed their appeal for information after two armed robberies in Sydney’s Inner-West yesterday (Wednesday 13 January).

About 12.30 pm a man entered a pharmacy on Cabarita Road at Cabarita and threatened two female employees with a machete, demanding money.

He was given a quantity of cash before he left the scene in a maroon Mitsubishi Magna parked in a nearby laneway.

A short time later Police were called to a home in Tenterfield Road at North Strathfield.

It appears the same man drove the Magna to the home where he threatened a man and woman inside with the machete, before stealing their car, which was found later in Concord.

About 4.30 pm a man entered a shoe store in a shopping complex on Roseby Street, Drummoyne and threatened the female manager with a machete.

He was given a quantity of cash before he left the scene in a blue XR6 Falcon with registration AXQ 03Y.

Police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries into the two incidents. He is described as being of white/European appearance, aged between 40 and 45, with short dark hair. At the time of the incidents he was wearing a white T-Shirt.

Anyone who sees the car is urged not to approach it but to contact Triple Zero (000) immediately.

Anyone with information about either incident who has not yet spoken to Police is urged to contact Burwood Police Station via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
