Liberals Pledge To Bring Down Power Prices

A majority Hodgman Liberal Government will not only introduce retail competition into the electricity market to put downward pressure on power prices, we will also hand back the unfair carbon tax to Tasmanians, Shadow Minister for Energy Matthew Groom said.

“Our long standing policy to help tackle cost of living pressures, represents a saving of $125 a year on a typical Tasmanian power bill.”

“In contrast Labor and the Greens have done a deal to ensure they keep the carbon tax in their pockets, not yours. It is not fair for Tasmanians to pay the carbon tax on what is essentially carbon free energy.” Mr. Groom said.
