Boundary Changes:

The 2012-2013 redivision of State electoral boundaries made the following changes to the boundaries of Macedon District.

Macedon Lost:

24,397 electors to Sunbury District (Sunbury and Wildwood. Parts of Bulla, Clarkefield, Diggers Rest and Mickleham.)

Macedon Gained:

12,137 electors from Ballarat East District (Bullarto, Daylesford, Glenlyon, Hepburn Springs, Kyneton, Malmsbury and Trentham)

1,397 electors from Bendigo West District (Elphinstone, Fryerstown, Metcalfe, Sutton Grange and Taradale)

1,427 electors from Melton District (Blackwood, Coimadai and Toolern Vale)

Northern Victoria Region

Election Results:

Two-party preferred vote, 2010 State election:

ALP:               21,975             51.26%

Liberal:            20,895             48.74%

Estimated two-party preferred vote on 2014 boundaries:*

ALP:               17,660             52.3%

Liberal:            16,088             47.7%
