Giddings Sell Out-Plan To kill Off Entire Native Forest Industry

Premier Lara Giddings has revealed just how far she is prepared to go to appease her Green partners in Government, Opposition Leader Will Hodgman said today.
“Ms. Giddings comments in today’s Financial Review reveal Labor’s wholesale adoption of the Greens agenda to move entirely out of native forests.”
“Ms. Giddings talks of a “forestry industry of the future, a forestry industry that’s based on plantation trees.”
“This is a clear sign Labor has completely sold out the industry.” Mr. Hodgman said.
“We already know the job-destroying forest deal will cut our forest industry in half, and cost more than 1,600 jobs.”
“Now we find out Ms. Giddings is prepared to go even further to keep the Greens happy and keep intact her fragile minority government.”
“It’s not too late for Ms. Giddings to dump the deal, dump the Greens, and instead work with us to grow the forest industry, instead of trashing it.” Mr. Hodgman said.
