Altona State By-Election 13 February 2010

Victor P Taffa

The Brumby Government has suffered a swing of 12.2% following the Altona State By-Election based on figures released by the Victoria Electoral Commission.

The swing of 12.2% represents the vote recorded at the 2006 General Election by outgoing Minister for Public Transport Lynne Kosky and the result in which the Labor candidate achieved based on provisional results.

Should a swing of 12.2% swing be repeated at the 2010 General Election the Brumby Government would be swept from office.
