The former Premier David Bartlett has been publically rolled yet again over the Bay of Fires National Park, proposed by Labor before the last election, according to Shadow Minister for Infrastructure Rene Hidding.

“Environment Minister Brian Wightman effectively killed the proposal today in Parliament by refusing to confirm that it would go ahead.”

“The Bay of Fire National Park proposal has been in the so-called “planning phase” with no meaningful work having been undertaken since 2009.” Mr. Hidding said.

“It is clear now that this was just another Labor thought bubble in a bid to win votes, and Mr. Bartlett’s bubble has now been burst.”

“Like many of Labor’s pre-election promises, the National Park proposal was nothing but a hoax and photo opportunity which the Government never had any intention of delivering.” Mr. Hidding said.
