South Australia Opposition Leader Isobel Redmond

Apparently Minister Caica Didn’t Get The Memo!

The Liberals have caught the South Australia Agriculture Minister Paul Caica out by one minute criticising the Liberals’ $10 Million commitment to the Riverland as vote buying and the next minute spruiking his government’s $20 Million election sweetener.

South Australia Opposition Leader Isobel Redmond said either Paul Caica had been left out of the loop and was unaware he was making the Rann Government’s announcement today or he was taking a cheap political shot.

“The Rann Government doesn’t know whether it is coming or going and is relying on the Liberals to set the agenda.” Ms. Redmond said.

“Once again the Rann Government is following our lead.”

“Minister Caica can’t make up his mind – one minute the Liberals are just trying to buy votes and the next he’s trying to justify his government’s package.”

“What is certain though is that the Rann Government along with its Cabinet member Karlene Maywald has abandoned the Riverland over the last eight years and the region’s families, businesses and irrigators have suffered as a result.”

“Eight years of Rann Labor has not delivered results for the Riverland and it’s time the region had a local representative that truly has the Riverland’s best interests at heart.”

“Tim Whetstone and the Liberals are committed to ensuring the Riverland has a bright and prosperous future.” Ms. Redmond said.
