Fatal Motorcycle Crash – Albury
A learner motorcyclist has died in a crash in the State’s Far South overnight.
About 11.40 pm Police and emergency services were called to Burrows Road at North Albury after reports that a male rider had been ejected from a Yamaha motorcycle.
Inquiries into the cause of the crash continue however it appears the man was riding North on Burrows Road when the bike left the roadway and he was ejected, crashing into a tree.
The rider, an 18-year-old Albury man was treated at the scene prior to being taken to Albury Base Hospital where he died a number of hours later.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
