Man Robbed At Knifepoint, Three Teens Arrested – Kogarah

A man and two teenagers will face court following the alleged armed robbery of a man in Kogarah this morning.

About 12:50 am, a 27-year-old man was walking home from Kogarah Railway Station along Beach Street when he was approached by two males.

It will be alleged the pair grabbed the man and held a knife to his throat, demanding cash and his wallet.

Police will further allege the pair stole the man’s mobile phone and MP3 player before walking off and meeting up with a third man.

About five minutes later officers from St. George Local Area Command were patrolling the Princes Highway when they saw the three males.

All three males were stopped and searched with Police allegedly locating the proceeds of the robbery on the 19-year-old man while two knives were found in a nearby drain.

The trio were arrested and taken to St. George Police Station where the two 17-year-olds from Cronulla and Dolls Point were charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon and granted conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Children’s Court on Tuesday 16 February.

The 19-year-old Sans Souci man was charged with receiving stolen property and granted conditional bail to appear at Kogarah Local Court on Tuesday 16 February.
