Jim McConville oval is the latest project completed as part of the Territory Government’s $6.2 Million investment in community sporting infrastructure improvements in Alice Springs.
“$6.2 Million investment from the Territory Government into sporting infrastructure projects in Alice Springs is delivering results and we continue to work in collaboration with the Alice Springs Town Council to deliver them.” Minister for Tourism Sport and Culture Lauren Moss said.
Local sports clubs can now enjoy the upgraded change rooms, toilets and canteen facilities.
Delivered by a local contractor, Blueprint Construction, the upgrades join three other completed projects at:
- Traeger Avenue Hockey pitch,
- Alice Springs Basketball Centre,
- Flynn Drive oval.
“Jim McConville is one of seven sporting facilities that has benefited from the Northern Territory Government and Council working together to implement a $6.2 Million sporting infrastructure package for our community.” Alice Springs Mayor Damien Ryan said.
Ross Park and Albrecht oval upgrades are in progress and the tender to upgrade Rhonda Diano oval closes 14 November.
Territory Government continues to work with the Alice Springs Town Council to deliver the community priority projects.
