Police Divers Search Lake Following Stabbing – Bella Vista
Police divers will today search a lake in Sydney’s North-West as part of investigations into the stabbing of a man at Kings Langley two weeks ago.
Strike Force Kaluna comprising detectives from Quakers Hill Local Area Command was established to investigate the stabbing of a 22-year-old man in Kings Langley.
A search of the Norwest Lake on Norwest Boulevard, Bella Vista will be conducted by Police divers searching for evidence that may assist Police with their investigation into the stabbing.
About 2am on Saturday 16 January a number of people were in the process of leaving an 18th birthday party in Plymouth Crescent, Kings Langley when it is alleged there was an argument between two men in the street.
During the incident, a 22-year-old man allegedly attempted to intervene in the matter and was stabbed a number of times to the chest and abdomen.
He was taken to Westmead Hospital and later transferred into the intensive care unit in a serious but stable condition.
On Thursday 21 January an 18-year-old Berkeley Vale man was arrested by Quakers Hill detectives and taken to Quakers Hill Police Station where he was charged with cause wounding/grievous bodily harm with intent to murder and wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The man was refused bail and is expected to appear at Penrith Local Court on Friday 5 March.
