Dapto Dogs are iconic, not just for Dapto and New South Wales, but for the Greyhound Racing Industry across the nation.

Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) and the Dapto Agricultural and Horticultural Society (DAHS) owe it to the 80-year history of regulated greyhound racing in Dapto to stay at the table and find a workable solution.

Solution must be one that not only satisfies the needs of each organisation, but one which reflects the Dapto community’s expectations.

“I have today spoken with the Chairman of the Greyhound Racing NSW Board, Hugh Armenis, and reiterated the responsibility of the Board to oversee the affairs of Greyhound Racing NSW and its registered clubs.” Minister for Better Regulation and Innovation Kevin Anderson said.

“It is clear that discussions between GRNSW and DPAS have broken down, however it is the Dapto community that will be impacted the most if the organisations cannot reach an agreement.”

“I encourage both groups to immediately re-establish communication lines to allow for negotiations to recommence in good faith, and with the Dapto community and the iconic Dapto Dogs front of mind.” Minister Anderson said.
