Essendon Lost:

2,997 electors to Niddrie District (Aberfeldie. Part of Moonee Ponds).

Essendon Gained:

5,323 electors from Melbourne District (Travancore. Part of Flemington.).

Two-party preferred vote, 2010 State election:

ALP:               18,476             52.42%

Liberal:            16,770             47.58%
