Over 20,000 More Victorians On The Roll Since The Federal Election

Since the Federal Election in August, an additional 20,359 Victorians have enrolled in response to the Victorian Electoral Commission’s enrolment drive. At the close of rolls at 8.00 pm on Tuesday, 9 November 2010, 3,582,232 People were enrolled to vote.

The Enrolment Figure for the Victorian State Election in 2006 was 3,353,845.



“This is shaping up to be Victoria’s largest election with a record number of electors and candidates. It will also be Australia’s most accessible election with the roll out of Electronically Assisted Voting to every early voting centre in Victoria.” Steve Tully, Electoral Commissioner, said today.
