VALUE OF WORK DONE, CHAIN VOLUME MEASURES

TOTAL

  • The trend estimate for the value of total engineering construction work done fell by 1.7% in the March 2010 Quarter.
  • The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of total engineering construction work done rose 0.3% in the March Quarter, to $19,833.4 m.

PRIVATE SECTOR

  • The trend estimate for the value of work done for the private sector fell by 2.9% in the March Quarter.
  • The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of work done for the private sector fell 1.5% in the March Quarter, to $11,901.6 m.

PUBLIC SECTOR

  • The trend estimate for the value of work done for the public sector rose by 0.1% in the March Quarter.
  • The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of work done for the public sector rose 3.1% in the March Quarter, to $7,931.8 m.

VALUE OF WORK COMMENCED, CURRENT PRICES

  • The value of work commenced in the March quarter was $16,952.4 m, a fall of 71.1% from the December 2009 Quarter.
