Police Conduct Investigation After Shots Fired Into Home – Edensor Park

Police from Fairfield Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting after a house in Edensor Park was shot at a number of times early yesterday morning.

About 1:45 am (Friday 1 January) the occupants of the home in Swan Road heard what they believed were the sounds of fireworks.

Several hours later they found a number of bullet holes in the garage door of their home and contacted Police.

A crime scene was established and examined by specialist crime scene officers with Police locating eight bullet holes in the premises including in the garage, the house and a vehicle parked at the premises. No one was injured as a result of the shooting.

Detectives conducted a canvas of the neighbourhood and are continuing their investigations into the shooting and are urging anyone who may have witnessed or heard the incident, or who has vital information about who may be responsible for the shooting, to contact Fairfield Police via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
